Department of Ship Technology, DOST, was founded in 1974 and B.Tech in Naval Architecture & Ship Building, NA&SB program was officially inaugurated by C Achyutha Menon, honorable Chief Minister of Kerala in January 1975. DOST signed an MOU with Wilhelm Pieck University, Rostock of Erstwhile German Democratic Republic (GDR) in 1976-77. In 1987, Indian Navy recognized DOST as Centre of Excellence in NA&SB. Since then, Naval Cadets training is one of the unique features of NA&SB program. DOST also offer M.Tech and Research programs related to maritime industry and is celebrating the Golden Jubilee year during 2024-25.
MAST, Middle East Alumni of Ship Technology, UAE Chapter got founded in 1996 and have been instrumental in socio-cultural activities, professional development in maritime and offshore industries, health and sports related activities and many more.

KMEA Engineering College (KEC) located in Aluva, Kerala was established in 2002 under the management of Kerala Muslim Educational Association. KEC is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and affiliated to APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University, accredited by NAAC. KEC is successful in bringing out skilled professionals working in various sectors across the globe. KMEA is Committed in providing highquality education for all its students by providing best learning circumstances – individualized academic support, dedicated teaching faculty, personal and financial counseling, serene and secured campus. KMEA Alumni Forum UAE (KAFU) is active from 2012 onwards, connecting all the college alumni in the UAE. It is actively involved in its member’s overall well-being through different activities such as sports & arts club, and career wing etc. KAFU started associating with AKCAF since 2021, supporting all its ventures and activities.
MACE UAE Alumni is an independent, nonprofit organization that fosters a mutually beneficial relationship between MACE alumni and the college. The chapter was formed in 1994 with the goal of providing a platform for MACE alumni living and working in the United Arab Emirates to connect with each other, share their experiences, and give back to the college.
The MACE UAE Alumni Chapter hosts a variety of events throughout the year, including networking receptions, technical talks, and social events. The chapter also offers a number of resources and services to its members, such as career counselling, job postings, and mentorship programs. MACE is one of the five oldest engineering colleges in Kerala and one of the three government-aided colleges in the state. It was the first engineering college affiliated with Mahatma Gandhi University and is now affiliated with APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University. Its alumni hold key positions in state and central government administration, the Indian armed forces, and the private sector.

Newman College, Thodupuzha is affi liated with Mahathma Gandhi University, ranked
78 in All India Ranking published by National Institutional Ranking framework during
2019 and it also hold NAAC A++ accreditation as of 2024.
The college founded in 1964 becoming the fi rst higher education institution in idukki
district. The campus spans roughly 26 acres, situated at the edge of Thodupuzha, the
major town in Idukki district. The college has a vibrant and highly qualifi ed faculty
which leads and guides the students, offering 14 under graduate, 8 post graduate
and 2 research programs. It also runs diploma and IGNOU distance education.
Newman college has alumini chapters across the world, USA, Europe, The UAE and
beyond. The alumini association in the UAE was offi cially launched in June 2025,
inaugurated by Idukki MP Mr Dean Kuriakose and a leadership team was selected.
The Alumini chapter known as ‘Newmanites UAE’ promptly became a member of
AKCAF Association. The fi rst offi ce bearers were appointed as follows: President Mr
TN Krishnakumar, Secretary Mr. Saji Lukose, Treasurer Mr. Deepak Peter and AKCAF
representative Mr Anish Abraham.
Rajagiri Centre for Business Studies (RCBS), a distinguished brand under
the Rajagiri umbrella, encompassing the prestigious MBA and MA (HRM)
programs along with esteemed PGDM and FPM programs. Nestled in the

Beyond academics, Rajagiri’s educational approach focuses on nurturing

both their careers and personal lives. Established in 2018, Rajagiri Alumni
UAE (FRAME) formed with the purpose of fostering connections among
their batchmates residing in the UAE. Over time, the alumni community
expanded its reach, resulting in an impressive membership of 267
members, comprising professionals from various industries in the UAE.
This dynamic team is dedicated to supporting newcomers by offering
guidance and assistance in shaping their careers.
Established in 1978, The School of Engineering at Cochin University of Science & Technology initially provided part-time M.Tech. programs for local practicing Engineers. It expanded its horizons in 1981 with Ph.D. offerings. In 1995, the school introduced B.Tech. programs in Civil, Mechanical, Electronics, Communication, and Computer Science Engineering. Safety and Fire Engineering B.Tech. was added in 1996. Renowned as a research center, it fosters innovation and academic excellence.
Established in 2007, the Cochin University B.Tech Alumni Association (CUBAA) UAE Chapter actively contributes to a range of endeavors. Beyond fostering alumni connections, the chapter is deeply involved in diverse activities, encompassing social causes, cultural celebrations, sports competitions, charitable initiatives, and voluntary undertakings. These multifaceted engagements reflect CUBAA's commitment to creating a positive impact and nurturing a vibrant community in the UAE.
Established in 2001, SCMS School of Engineering and Technology (ASSET)
stands as a leading institution in Kerala, offering NAAC and NBA accredited
undergraduate and postgraduate programs on a vibrant, eco-friendly
campus in the Karukutty village of Ernakulam district. ASSET is renowned
for its commitment to academic excellence and holistic development.
ASSET UAE, the alumni association of SSET established in 2009, has
grown into a vibrant community of over 650 members, serving as a
unifying platform for SSETians across the UAE. Our fl agship events—
ASSET Pookkaalam, the annual get-together, and ASSET Feathers, the
inter-collegiate alumni badminton tournament—stand as testaments to
our commitment to amity and celebration. ASSET UAE has also formed
dedicated clubs focused on arts, sports, expeditions, professional growth,
and business networking. As an active and proud affi liate of the AKCAF

Sree Narayana Gurukulam College of Engineering (SNGCE), established in 2002
and managed by the Sree Narayana Gurukulam Charitable Trust, is a leading
engineering institution in Kerala. Approved by AICTE and affi liated with APJ Abdul
Kalam Technological University (KTU), SNGCE has grown steadily, offering B.Tech and
M.Tech programs across six departments: Civil, Electrical & Electronics, Electronics
& Communication, Computer Science, Mechanical, and Naval Architecture & Ship
Building. The college also offers a full-time MBA through its Management Studies
department and an MCA program under Computer Applications.
The campus is located in a serene and spacious setting at Kadayiruppu, Kolenchery,
in Ernakulam District, with convenient access via NH 49.
The SNGCE UAE Alumni Chapter, founded in 2017 and affi liated with AKCAF since
2019, has over 500 active members. The group hosts its annual gathering under the
banner SANGAMAM and actively engages in various social and charitable initiatives.
These include blood donation drives, Iftar kit distributions, community clean-up
campaigns, and supporting those in need both in the UAE and India, refl ecting their
strong commitment to social responsibility.
St. Paul's College, affiliated to Mahatma Gandhi University and Regulated by UGC is a prestigious Arts and Science college which was founded by Dr. Joseph Attipetty, the late Archbishop of Verapoly to commemorate the historic visit of His Holiness Pope Paul VI to India in 1964. The college was named after St. Paul, the celestial patron of the Pope and is being functioned under the Archdiocese of Verapoly. Apart from the UG courses, the college offers PG courses in Economics, Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, Commerce and English along with research centre for Physics. The sublime academic and infrastructural facilities at St. Paul's were accredited as 'A Grade' by the NAAC.
Founded in 2011, the Alumni association of St. Pauls in UAE "The overseas Paulist" (TOP) has over 100 members and being part of AKCAF activities since 2011.
The St Teresa's College (Autonomous), situated in the heart of Ernakuma city has been a beacon of women empowerment since its inception in 1923 is celebrating its Centenary this year. It has kept pace with the changes of time and has placed itself among the premier institutions of Kerala with 41st Rank in NIRF ranking of 2023 and A++ in NAAC evaluation.
The Alumnae which started functioning in 2013, was officially registered as Association of St Teresa's College Alumnae, AstA. The alumnae and the college partakes in a 30 year old annual Xmas sale showcasing the talent and entrepreneurial skills of those who have passed out from St. Teresa’s. The Association is actively involved in helping in the community with multifaceted activities and was also active during COVID-19 outbreak and 2018 floods. Financial support to students, spending time with senior citizen, orphanages and special schools, are some of the activities that AstA is involved in. The Alumnae works with the college in taking skill development classes and partakes in the community activities of college. In 2024, ten new chapters have been inaugurated recently around the country and the globe to bring the Teresian community together for interaction and networking.

It is also worth pointing out that we have a very active alumni community in the United Arab Emirates, and we are looking forward to expanding our St. Peter’s family and connecting all the alumni.
