The Chinmaya Mission as envisioned by our Poojya Gurudev His
Holiness Swami Chinmayanandaji Maharaj was set up in 1951 and
has 350 centres in India and abroad. It is the nucleus of a global
movement of spiritual renaissance and cultural rejuvenation,
enfolding under its wings a wide range of spiritual, social, academic,
charitable and welfare institutions. Chinmaya Mission College had
a very humble beginning on 12th August 1975 with His Holiness
Swami Dayananda Saraswathi inaugurating the same at Sakthan
Thampuran Palace, in Thrissur.
Later it got shifted to our permanent building at Chinmaya
Gardens, Kolazhy Panchayath in 1993 when H.H. Swami Mridananda
of Sri Ramakrishna Mission rendered the inauguration. Chinmaya
Alumni UAE chapter was formed in June 2022 with just over 30
members and currently has more than 400 members. In July 2022,
we have affi liated with AKCAF and is an eminent partner of AKCAF
thereafter.
Christ College (Autonomous), Irinjalakuda, is a premier CMI institution located
in Irinjalakuda, Thrissur District, Kerala, India. Affi liated with the University of
Calicut, it is the fi rst college in Thrissur district to receive an A++ Grade from
the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). The college offers
53 programs across UG and PG, operates 4 research centres, and is supported
by 200+ faculty members, serving over 4,800 students.
Christ College Irinjalakuda Alumni (CCIA) UAE is one of the strongest and
largest alumni networks in the region, with over 900 active members
engaged in social, cultural, sports, and educational initiatives.
In April 2023, CCIA UAE brought the current college volleyball team to
participate in the Ramadan Volleyball Tournament conducted by the Indian
Association, Sharjah. CCIA is also the fi rst alumni network in the UAE to
facilitate internships for Christ College students in Dubai. Through this
initiative, more than 200 students have visited Dubai in recent years for
academic and professional exposure.
Established in 1957, Government Engineering College Thrissur (GECT) is the first engineering institute to be established after the formation of the state of Kerala in 1956. The foundation stone of the institution was laid by Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru in 1957. The institute is affiliated to the APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University (KTU) since its inception in 2015. The institute is located at Ramavarmapuram which is 5 km from the centre of Thrissur.
Formed in 1994 TRACE is the alumni association of GECT based in UAE. It is recognized as one of the most dynamic GECT alumni groups outside of Thrissur. With a membership of 1300 alumni members, TRACE regularly organises various events for its members such as local gatherings, sports events, arts festivals, competitions, business networking events, career support for young alumni, and is actively involved in social service activities both within and outside UAE. TRACE maintains a seamless transition of leadership across generations ensuring its continued vibrancy as an organisation. In addition TRACE actively collaborates with AKCAF in all social activities and programs.
Hailing from God’s Own Country’s cultural capital, the organization was founded in 1978 under the leadership of Late. AC Kunhimon Haji and a handful of like-minded individuals at a period when English medium education and moral education were not widely available. Boarding with madrassa instruction and moral education grew so quickly that the ICA brotherhood had students from across Kerala and even beyond. Higher secondary schools were added to the ICA galaxy in 1991, Arts & Science College in 2002, and Montessori divisions in 2016. The ICA galaxy is scattered across the verdant lushes of Vadakkekad & Thozhiyoor near the temple town of Guruvayur. IES College of Engineering, Chitilapilly, situated only 10km from the heart of Thrissur, started its journey in 2003. Despite being a young institution of only 21 years, its alumni are vibrant and energetic.

KKTM Govt. College was established in 1965 by a group of philanthropists in memory of Mahakavi Kodungallur Kunjikkuttan Thampuran who is respectfully called as ‘Kerala Vyasan’. The College was then managed by an Educational Trust until it has been taken over by the Govt. of Kerala in 1972. It is housed in the extensive land situated adjacent to the marvellous village, Pullut part of Kodungallur Town. Affiliated to the University of Calicut, the College offers 8 UG courses and 3 PG courses along with a Research centre for Malayalam. The institution has been accredited with A grade by NAAC. KKTM College has gifted many eminent personalities including academicians, doctors, scientists, politicians, business men and performing artists. KKTM alumini UAE chapter came into existence in 2017 and have been actively cooperating with AKCAF since then. With over 125 members, the Alumni is dynamically indulged in social activities in UAE.
MALABAR COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING & TECHNOLOGY (MCET) located in the northern end of Thrissur district, Kerala is promoted by the IQRA Educational and Charitable Trust, founded in 2009 with backing from the Government of Kerala and affiliation with the University of Calicut with approval from AICTE, New Delhi.
Since its founding in 2018, the Association of Malabar College of Eng. & Tech Alumni UAE Chapter (AMCETA UAE) has expanded to become a registered entity with an amazing membership of over 300 active members dispersed across all Emirates of the UAE. It actively promotes the wellbeing of its members and provides alumni with help through a vibrant Career Guidance cell. Sree Krishna College Guruvayur (SKC), managed by the Guruvayur Devaswom Board, is located in Guruvayur, Thrissur District. Affiliated with Calicut University, the college was established on July 18, 1964. It began offering graduate courses in 1967 and postgraduate courses in 1984. Currently, the college offers 13 under graduate and 6 post graduate courses and holding an NAAC accreditation grading of A.
The college is dedicated to empowering students and enhancing faculty expertise. It is undergoing significant infrastructural development to become one of the best-equipped institutions in Kerala.

Sree Vivekananda College is a First Grade College situated in Kizhoor, a remote village adjacent to Kunnamkulam town, in Thrissur District. The long-cherished dream of the local people to have a centre of Higher Education in Kizhoor became a reality on 30-09-1981 with the foundation of college. It is housed in a hill owned by the Cochin Devaswom Board, adjacent to the famous Karthiayani temple. The college has PG programs in Commerce and English along with UG programs in English, Malayalam, HRM and Commerce. In the year 2012 the College was upgraded by the UGC with 12(B) and 2(f) status.
The Alumni of Vivekananda are spread around the globe holding distinguished positions. Vivekananda UAE Alumni Chapter was formed in 2010 and is part of AKCAF since 2012. It has over 120 members and has a very active presence among the Malayali expatriate community in UAE.
St. Aloysius College, Elthuruth (SAC), is one of the pioneer colleges in the
region, affi liated to the University of Calicut and located at Elthuruth in
Thrissur District. The journey of St. Aloysius began on 1st June 1968 with
a Vision and Mission of St. Kuriakose Elias Chavara “to mould intellectually
competent, morally upright, socially committed and spiritually inspired
individuals”. The college is run by CMI (Carmelites of Mary Immaculate)
Priests of Devamatha Province Thrissur. SAC has 16 undergraduate and
8 post graduate courses with the Department of English as Research
Centre which caters around 2000 students.
In the fourth cycle of NAAC accreditation, the college has been proudly
awarded with A+ grade. The scholastic achievements by the students
are a true indicator of the high-quality education being provided by the

Thejus engineering college was founded in 2009 by cheruvathoor foundation affiliated to APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University, approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and Govt. of Kerala. In the starting stage, the college had all the basic Btech courses and later, Mtech courses were added. The Zamorin’s Guruvayurappan College, Kozhikode (ZGC) has a glorious history that spans over a century. Established in the year 1877 as Kerala Vidyasala by the erstwhile ruler of the Zamorin dynasty, HH Manavikraman Maharaja Bahadur, ZGC is one of the oldest higher educational institutions in Kerala. In 1955, the College was shifted to the present campus located at a scenic hilltop called Pokkunnu, 8 km away from the city of Calicut. The campus spans over an area of 92 acres. The College offers UG, PG and Doctoral programmes in Science, Arts and Commerce streams and is affiliated to the University of Calicut. Over the past few decades, the UAE Chapter of the Zamorin’s Guruvayurappan College Alumni Association has demonstrated its active presence in the Indian expatriate community.
