It offers multidisciplinary programmes in business management, bioinformatics, information technology, bioscience and food science. Affiliated to MG university, kottayam and approved by the AICTE, New Delhi, owner and managed by the catholic archdiocese of Thiruvalla.
Catholicate College Pathanamthitta is the first and foremost educational institution of higher learning under the Malankara Orthodox Sabha. The college was established in 1952 by late H.H Baselius Geevarghese II, the then Catholicos in Malankara and now managed by H.G. Dr. Abraham Mar Seraphim Metropolitan. After more than 70 years of meritorious service, the college has grown into a full-fledged institution with 13 PG courses, 11 UG courses, and 5 Research Departments. The Catholicate College Alumni Association (CCAA) UAE Chapter was established in the year 1996, and ever since its inception, the organization has undertaken numerous welfare, cultural, educational, and sporting projects along with charity programs. The flagship event is the CCA CUP (Intercollegiate Alumni Badminton Championship) which is in its 21st year now. NSS Polytechnic College Pandalam, one of the oldest Grant-in-aid Polytechnic College, started in 1958 by the legend Bharatha Kesari Padmabhushan Mannathu Padmanabhan under the banner of Nair Service Society, with a view to effect commendable changes in the field of technical education. College is situated over a beautiful area of over 60 Acres on a small hill rock in the Thekkekara Grama Panchayath, 7 KMs from Pandalam town in Pathanamthitta District. Palm-International, Global Alumni of NSS Polytechnic college formed in 2007, having more than 500 Engineers working in UAE and achieved several landmarks by voluntarily rendering socio welfare services to the society in Gulf and back in India. PALM INTERNATIONAL’s charity wing Karma takes care of various philanthropic activities such as Karma Pain & Palliative Care Unit, Karma Jeevan Dialysis unit, Karma Ratna Awards for social workers, Karma Deepam Housing project, Vidhyanidhi (Educational support for poor students) etc. Palm International is an active alumni of AKCAF since 2007.
N. S. S. College, Pandalam is one among the most reputed NAAC accredited higher education institutions in Kerala, affiliated to the University of Kerala. It is one of the three oldest colleges established and managed by the Nair Service Society. The college was founded by Padmasree Mannathu Padmanabhan in 1950. The college motto is derived from the Bhagavad Gita Smriti – “Sreyohi Njanam Abhyasath”(Knowledge indeed is superior to constant practice). The college has 15 departments in science, arts, commerce, and physical education. It offers 14 undergraduate courses, seven post-graduate courses, and one doctoral programme. The UAE chapter of Pandalam NSS College Alumni (PANCA) was formed on 30th April 2003. From the beginning, it has been a part of AKCAF Association, and actively takes part in all the activities held under the banner of AKCAF.
‘STAAR- UAE’ (UAE chapter of St. Thomas College Alumni Association Ranni) has been established on 14th June 1997 in Dubai and it is one of the 5 founder members of AKCAF Association. ‘STAARUAE’ has celebrated its silver jubilee in 2022-2023. Established in 1964, St. Thomas College, Ranni is owned by the Syrian Knanaya Arch Diocese of Malankara. Begun as a junior college, and later upgraded as a first-grade college in 1968, the college stands tall with a legacy unique to itself and is steadily progressing reaping success in curricular, co-curricular and extracurricular fields. The institution is ISO 9001:2015 certified and offers 9 UG programmes and 5 PG programmes. Guinness world record winning ‘world’s largest Taro Leaf’ is preserved here. Recently, IDEAGORA, the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Centre of the institution, won the Top Performer Award in the Innovators Premier League 2022 hosted by Kerala Startup Mission.
