Established in the year 1957, Government College Kasaragod is one of the reputed institutions in the northern district of Kerala and North Malabar, nourished thousands of students for the past six decades. This pioneer institution in the Government sector has catered the needs in higher education bringing up excellent results. Currently, the college has 14 under graduate courses and 7 post graduate courses. The department of Kannada, Chemistry and Statistics have been recognized as research departments by Kannur University. The college is accredited with NAAC ‘A’ grade. Govinda Pai Memorial Government College, Manjeswar (GPM) is a postgraduate college in Manjeshwar, Kasaragod. The college was established in 1980 and is now affiliated to the Kannur University. GPM stands to catalyse the upliftment of the local folk, and the socially and economically backward majority population of the region, by instilling confidence through quality education. Accordingly, the college inspires the students to learn, live, serve, lead, respect, and innovate in a vibrant multi-cultural society and thus to reach peaks in the rungs of the social ladder. Standing proudly as the sole art and science college in the northern part of the district, the institution has produced many students with exemplary knowledge and wisdom in the past years. The Alumni association of GPM has been established in the year 2013 and is actively involved as a sociocultural organisation in the UAE since its inception.
Nehru Arts and Science College, Kanhangad is a well-known Educational Institution in the Northern Malabar (Kasaragod District) which was founded in the year 1968.
Nehru College Alumni UAE (NASCA), established in the year of 2004 in UAE with a strength of more than 100 alumni and has now completed 19 years with a strength of more than 350 members and their families. Though started as a college alumni group, NASCA serves as a social organization in UAE and the home town, Kanhangad with various activities such as Cultural, Sports and Philanthropic. NASCA also shows it’s commitment to the alma mater with scholarships for the needy students and an active involvement in the prosperity and development of the institution.
Since the formation, NASCA has been an inevitable part of AKCAF in all their events with maximum participation.
